CHENNAI: World Number four David Nalbandian has confirmed his participation in the Chennai Open 2007 ATP Tennis Championship to be held here from January 1 to 7.
 
Nalbandian has been a consistent performer on the ATP tour since his debut in 2000 and has to his credit winning the US Open Junior title in 1998 against Roger Federer.
 
He has helped his country make it to the Davis Cup final (to be played later this year) with wins against Croatia in the semifinals.
 
Nalbandian had won five ATP titles for a career singles record of 207-101 and a career prize money of $6,790,894.
