The pair of Mirza-Strycova defeated Mirza's former partner Martina Hingis who had teamed up with Chan Yung-Jan. The Indo-Czech pair beat Swiss-Taiwanese pair 7-6 (8), 6-1, (10-4), reports ESPN.

Hingis-Chan, the winning pair of Indian Wells, put up a good fight in the first set taking early advantage of Mirza-Strycova failing to convert important points into wins. But quickly finding their rhythm, the latter pair took 4-0 lead in the second set.

Hingis and Chan fought back to make it 4-5 but Mirza-Strycova won five consecutive points to take the match.

Semis winner will now face unseeded pair of Gabriela Dabrowski and Xu Yifan in the final
