DOHA: Manjeet Kaur brought another medal to the Indian kitty from the Asian Games track when she bagged a silver in the women's 400m on Sunday.

The Punjab girl clocked 52.17secs to finish second behind Kazakhstan's Olga Tereshkova, who came home in 51.86secs.

Japan's Asami Tanno grabbed the bronze in a time of 53.04 secs.

The other Indian in fray - Pinki Paramanik - who was tipped to be among the medals, came agonisingly close before missing out. She finished fourth in 53.06, just two-hundredths of a second slower than the third place finisher.
