Ending all the speculations about moving away from Real Madrid, Sergio Ramos has agreed to renew the contract with the club till June 2020, reports goal.com

Read Madrid have confirmed that the defender will stay with Santiago Bernabéu side for five more years.

The official ceremony will happen at the Santiago Bernabéu's honorary balcony at 13.30 CET.

Manchester United were keeping a close eye on the Spanish centre-back as his deal with Real Madrid was due to expire in 2017.

"An event will be held in the Santiago Bernabéu's presidential box to mark Sergio Ramos' contract renewal. Presiding over the event will be the Real Madrid president, Florentino Pérez, and the player himself, who will remain at the club for the next five seasons," a statement on the clubs' official website read.

Sergio Ramos has played over 400 matches in all competitions for Real Madrid. He joined the club in the summer of 2005 after coming through the ranks of Sevilla youth academy.
