The Italian admits the team managed by Sir Alex Ferguson hold all the aces going into the new year.
Chelsea go into tomorrow night's game at Arsenal trailing three points behind United and a point behind the Gunners, the Daily Star reports.
Ancelotti said, "If you had to back which team was going to win the league, it is very difficult to say - but Manchester United have more of an advantage compared to Chelsea and to Arsenal."
"The decisive moment will be when we start the Champions League again in February. Then you can have a clear opinion about which team will be able to win," he said.
Ancelotti will welcome back striker Didier Drogba - who has finally shrugged off health and fitness worries.
