Karun Chandhok's inclusion in FIA Drivers' Commission is good news. But on the racing front, things are not so rosy for the Indian driver.
Karun Chandhok’s inclusion in FIA Drivers’ Commission is good news. But on the racing front, things are not so rosy for the Indian driver.
With JRM Racing pulling the plug on their World Endurance Championship (WEC) operations, the 29-year-old has been left in a lurch.
It has left Chandhok without a team for the upcoming season, which begins on April 14 at Silverstone. “I was hoping to race for JRM again but them pulling out has left me in a spot. I’m in talks with a couple of teams and will know in the next fortnight,” Chandhok told DNA.
Chandhok and his teammates Peter Dumbreck and David Brabham finished 10th in the championship last season. While Dumbreck has secured a seat with Aston Martin Racing in the GTE Pro class, Brabham is also on the lookout for one.
Chandhok tested for AF Corse, who compete in GTE Pro class, in February but hasn’t heard anything from them yet. The other option for Chandhok is the FIA GT World Series.
