India will be up against England who have played out of their skins in 2016 Kabaddi World Cup to occupy the fourth spot in Group A and a win in this tie would definitely boost the Anup Kumra-led side's confidence ahead of the play-offs.

After losing to South Korea in their opening match, India bounced back in style as they crushed Australia 54-20 to record their first win of the tournament. It was a superb all-round team effort and all Indian players pitched in the comprehensive victory. India benched Rahul Chaudhari and Jasvir Singh and started with Pardeep Narwal and Sandeep Narwal in their place. Indian substitutes played a key role in the victory as the bench contributed 20 points. Ajay Thakur was top scorer for India and scored seven points – all scored after coming on as a substitute.

In a must-win crucial encounter in Group A, India lived up to their reputation to beat Bangladesh 57-20. Ajay Thakur scored 10 points for India after coming on as a substitute whereas Pardeep Narwal led India’s charge in the first half and ended with eight points.

The hosts then dismantled Argentina 74-20 to score a world record margin win. India hardly broke a sweat as Chaudhari and Thakur combined to score 25 raid points between them. Manjeet Chhillar and Surender attained a high five each to score 11 points to lead India’s charge.

Whereas, England have won two and lost as many games to garner 10 points to their credit. While Republic of Korea and Bangladesh beat the Pommies 56-17 and 52-18 respectively, the Brits outclassed Argentina 68-28 and thumped Australia 69-25.
