The Hero Indian Super League (ISL) on the verge of starting its knockout phase will see four semifinal matches being played before the grand final at the DY Patil Stadium on December 20.

Overall 121 goals were scored in the league phase and Brazilian players have dominated the scoring charts. A total of three Brazilian players rank in the top scorers list, which speaks volumes about the 'Samba' style of football 

26 goals came from Brazilian players, who have impressed fans with their ball wizardy.

Elano Blumer (Chennaiyin FC) leads the scoring list with eight goals,whereas Gustavo dos Santos (Delhi Dynamos FC) has five. FC Goa’s André Santos and Chennaiyin’s Bruno Pelissari follow with four, whereas André Moritz (Mumbai City FC) has three to his credit. Guilherme de Castro (NorthEast United FC) and Pedro Gusmao (Kerala Blasters FC) have also one goal to their name. 

Indian players have tallied 23 goals, which is impressive to say the least. Goa youngster Romeo Fernandes and Jeje Lalpekhlua of Chennaiyin lead the list with three strikes, whereas Baljit Sahni and Cavin Lobo (both Atlético de Kolkata) have two against their names. Thirteen other Indian players have a solitary goal to their credit.

French and Spainish players have netted in 11 goals, with Goa’s Youness Bengelloun and Grégory Arnolin scoring two goals each, while Bernard Mendy (Chennaiyin) and Johan Letzelter (Mumbai City) have one each. Marquee players, Nicolas Anelka (Mumbai City) and David Trezeguet (FC Pune City) have added two goals to their tally, while French legend, Robert Pirès (Goa) has scored only once.

Koke has scored four while former Liverpool legend Luis García (Kolkata) has two to his name. Compatriots Borja Fernández, Jofre and Arnal Llibert (all Kolkata), Cristian Hidalgo (Chennaiyin) and Bruno Arias (Delhi) have scored once.
