Lungi Ngidi, the 21-year-old who made his Test debut at Centurion just days ago, on Sunday became the latest entrant to the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Chennai Super Kings.
Ngidi was bought by CSK at the base price of Rs 50 lakh in the IPL auction on Sunday.
The CSK welcomed its new joinee on Twitter. "Thillalangadi @NgidiLungi is now in the den, straight from the South African Safari! #LungiDance begins! #WhistlePodu #SummerIsComing #PrideOf18," CSK tweeted.

His IPL franchise, however, suggested the speedster to listen to "Whistle Podu" too.
"Whistle Podu" is CSK’s theme song which literally means "blow whistle."

Ngidi made his test debut in the second Test against India in Centurion. He was named man-of-the-match for returning 7-for-90 as South Africa took the series 2-0.
He has been awarded Man of the Match award on his debut in both T20 International and Test.
He made his international debut against Sri Lanka in a T20 match at the Centurion in January 2017.
He was adjudged Man of the Match for his 2-12 in two overs.
Ngidi had previously missed out on ODI call-up because he was injured.
In his debut match, Ngidi had scored the prize wicket of Virat Kohli when he trapped one of the world's best batsmen, lbw in India's second innings of the second Test match.
Ngidi comes from humble background and was born to domestic workers in Kloof near Durban. According to local media reports, Ngidi wanted to become a batsman but could not afford a cricket kit.
His control over the ball and his extraordinary pace brought him into the limelight and earned a scholarship in the prestigious Hilton College where he was coached by former Zimbabwe pace bowling all-rounder Neil Johnson.
