IPL 8: Chants Galore in the Chennai Super Kings dressing room
It was about time that cricket teams came up with their own chants, and Chennai Super Kings have surely taken the initiative.
Chennai are used to creating records on the pitch, but they arent far behind off the pitch too.
The Super Kings created a chant in their dressing room that will be used by the Chennai fans for years to come. Although it was all smiles in the dressing room after their win over Delhi Daredevils, they found the going quite tough on the field.
Albie Morkel's unbeaten 73 for the Daredevils wasn't good enough for his team to win as they fell two runs short of their target. A jubilant Chennai went on Social Media to celebrate their thrilling victory, with their fans.
The Chennai players including an exuberant skipper MS Dhoni and Brendon McCullum were among the loudest who chanted these words.
"It's another one we're winning! We're really on the go!
Till the skipper lifts the trophy, letting everybody know!
That you gotta get used to being beaten by the boys from,
CHENNAI CHENNAI!
WE ARE F**CKING CHENNAI!"
A video that emerged on Social Media, saw the Super Kings chanting these words after thrilling their win, in the dressing room at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
Chants like these are very common in footbal venues such a Manchester United's Old Trafford or Real Madrid's Santiago Bernabeu that are sung by the fans, and it won't be long till we see such chants ringing around the various stadia in the IPL.
