From fierce competitors on the field throughout the Australian summer, to opening partners in India’s summer, Shikhar Dhawan and David Warner have come a long way. Shiamak Unwalla wonders what sort of conversation the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) openers would have had prior to the start of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2015.

David Warner has had his share of on-field and off-field spats. In the first Test of India’s tour of Australia in 2014-15, he had got into an argument with Varun Aaron. Shikhar Dhawan got involved, and both openers engaged in a pointing match. Words were assumed to have been spoken, but what those words were are yet unknown…

Until now.

It seems Dhawan and Warner took a moment to discuss their upcoming partnership at Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2015. Warner and Dhawan were merely discussing strategies. The duo had a huge 82-run partnership for the opening wicket against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) recently.

Apparently, Warner’s new rock-solid approach at the top was inspired by Dhawan’s moustache! Confused? The above conversation between them will clear it out!
