In what may be another feather added to his glittering football career, former India international Bhaichung Bhutia has been inducted in Asian Football Confederation's (AFC) Hall of Fame for his contribution to the sport in the country.

Dato Alex Soosay, General Secretary, AFC, confirmed the news, and added that a letter has been sent to the All India Football Federation (AIFF) regarding Bhutia's inclusion.

Soosay added that Bhutia will be felicitated at AFC's annual award ceremony at Phillipines on November 30, which incidentally also marks 60 years of the governing body's existence.

Nine other Asian legends will also be honored in the ceremony, with Bhutia remaining as the sole Indian in the list.

Other notable AIFF chief's, which include President Praful Patel and General Secretary Kushal Das also lauded Bhutia for the achievement.

Bhutia when asked for a comment replied that he was 'extremely happy' on recieving the honor and looked forward to more such laurels in the near future.
