The second cricket Test between India and South Africa was called off on the fifth and final day owing to rain and wet ground conditions at the Chinnaswami Stadium today.

The match saw action on the opening day only, with the next four days washed out due to rain. 

India were 80 for no loss at stumps on the first evening after South Africa were bowled out for 214 in A B de Villiers' 100th Test.

Shikhar Dhawan, struggling for form, was not out on 45. Earlier, AB de Villiers had scored 85 to take the Proteas to 214.

India had won the first Test by 108 runs inside three days. The teams now move to Nagpur for the 3rd Test, which begins on November 25.
