India's only male swimmer to participate in Rio Games, Sajan Prakash felicitated by Kerala govt
Sajan will take part in the men's 200m butterfly at the 2016 Olympic Games.
Kerala government on Friday felicitated Sajan Prakash, the only male swimmer selected to represent India in the Rio Olympics to be held next month and handed over a cheque of Rs 10 lakh to him.
The cheque was handed over to the 22-year-old ace swimmer from Kerala, who won several medals in the last National games, by Sports Minister E P Jayarajan at a function organised by the Kerala Aquatic Association in Thiruvananthapuram.
Sports personalities Bobby Aloysius and K M Beenamol were among those present on the occasion.
Kerala-born Sajan will swim in the men's 200m butterfly in the swimming events at the 2016 Olympic Games.
