The senior batsman hit out at some of the radio channels a day after 68th Republic Day of India for playing patriotic songs only on that particular day and not on other days. "“Every Aug 15th or Jan 26th FM stations play patriotic songs. Sadly all dat vanished next day. Why? @RadioMirchi @LifeCoachSharat @927BIGFM,” tweeted Gambhir.

Radio Mirchi, which was one of the radio channels mentioned by Gautam Gambhir shot back saying, "Some occasions deserve a special celebration, but imagine if your TV only aired Republic Day parade everyday."

Gambhir didn't hold back either as he tweeted, ".@RadioMirchi if romantic songs can b played everyday, no harm playing patriotic songs at least once a day! Is it that big a call???"

He added, ".@RadioMirchi on ur Republic Day parade tweet. Won't mind seeing respected jawans everyday, every hour, every minute...& in a loop."

Radio Mirchi then posted a video where they had asked random people whether they were really patriotic or not and tweeted, "@GautamGambhir We asked people what patriotism means to them, we discovered Patriots v/s Indians. Have a look:"

Gambhir hasn't replied to this tweet as of now.
