NAGPUR: Uncertainty looms over injured Australian opener Matthew Hayden's participation in the sixth cricket one-dayer against India here on Sunday.

Hayden, who is nursing a hip injury, did not bat at the nets on Saturday and instead restricted himself to jogging and light exercises.

However, the Australian team management has decided to give the in-form opener one last chance by waiting till tomorrow before announcing the final XI.

"Since Hayden has been in very good form in the series, we decided to wait till tomorrow and see his fitness," Australia captain Ricky Ponting said on Saturday.

Australia is leading the seven-match series 3-1 against India.
