India's first ever left-arm wrist spinner in Test cricket, Kuldeep Yadav bamboozled Australian batsmen in a terrific post-lunch spell at Dharamasala, accounting for David Warner (56), Peter Handscomb (8) and Glenn Maxwell (8). The 22-year-old returned figures of four for 68 in 23 overs after Australia decided to bat and made a resounding start.

Here are some interesting facts about the 22-year-old:

1. Kuldeep Yadav, who plays domestic cricket for his state Uttar Pradesh, is the first chinaman bowler to play for India in its 82-year long Test history.

2. He picked up a hat-trick against Scotland in the 2014 Under-19 World Cup, played in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Thus he became the first bowler in U-19 cricket history to have taken a hat-trick.

3. The youngster first got a taste of IPL in the year 2012 when he was part of the Mumbai Indians squad. Although he didn't get a game, but Kuldeep got a golden opportunity to bowl to Sachin Tendulkar in the nets and even got him out.

4. He was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders in the year 2014 and is now a permanent member of the two-time IPL champions.

5. The spinner got his first national call up in the 2014 ODI series against West Indies at home.
