Appealing the women boxers to adhere the international norms, Tarlochan Singh, the former chairman of National Minorities Commission (NMC) said on Thursday that the new guidelines of Irish Amateur Boxing Association (IABA) for qualification of entry into the world championship needs to be adhered."As per the new rules of IABA for qualification of entry into the world championship, the certificate stating the player is not pregnant has to be from the medical doctor," said Singh."The certificate was required earlier as well, but now a new clause has been added. As per the direction of IABA, all the ten players going for the championship have to undergo the medical test," he added.According to reports, Boxing India has conducted pregnancy tests on eight women boxers, including unmarried and juniors, who are going for World Championships in Korea next week.
