FAU-G has been looked at the alternative of PUBG and it is expected to be out in the market in November, with the poster being released in September.
When PUBG was banned by the Indian government a couple of months back, it looked like a big risk. PUBG was one of the most popular games played by majority of the youth in the country. However, in the wave of nationalism and the stress on Atma-Nirbharta or self-sufficiency, a new game was launched. This was looked at as an alternative to PUBG. Titled FAU-G, the announcement was made by Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar in September and many saw this as an alternative to PUBG. In October, the game’s developers released a trailer around Dusshera. The graphics evoked mixed responses and the launch date of the game was slated to be around November. What is the full form of FAU-G?
The full form of FAU-G is Fearless And United-Guards and it will be war game and in a proper battlefield.
What is the special thing about FAU-G and who developed it?
The game has been developed by nCORE Games, a Bengaluru based mobile games and interactive entertainment company. Akshay Kumar, in his tweet, stated stated that the players would also learn about the soldiers' sacrifices and that 20 percent of the net revenue generated will be donated to the ‘Bharat Ke Veer’ trust.
What will be the war setting like?
It is expected to replay a war-like situation. There are reports that the first stage of FAU-G will be modeled on the tense situation in Galwan Valley, Ladakh. In August, there was a tense standoff between Indian and Chinese troops in Galwan which saw about 20 soldiers getting killed. This resulted in a string of anti-China protests and it saw many Chinese apps being shut down by the Central Government.
Will there be a third person involvement in this game?
No, apparently, it will be added as a feature in the later updates. Multi-player options are reportedly not available in the first update.
When will it be released?
With the trailer being announced around Dusshera, there is speculation that the game could be launched by nCORE around or after the Diwali period.
