The coronavirus pandemic had put the Euro 2020 back a year and the tournament will now take place in 2021. All 24 teams at the final tournament are guaranteed to play at least three games before the top performers in the group stage move on to the knockout phase – where things get even more exciting.
The biggest names from across the 24 participating nations like Cristiano Ronaldo, Harry Kane, Paul Pogba, Sergio Ramos, Luka Modric, Toni Kross, Bruno Fernandes, Kevin Du Bruyne, Romelu Lukaku, Ciro Immobile, Federico Chiesa, Memphis Depay, Georginio Wijnaldum, and Matthijs de Ligt would likely be in action.
Group A: Italy, Switzerland, Turkey, Wales
Group B: Belgium, Russia, Denmark, Finland
Group C: Ukraine, Netherlands, Austria, North Macedonia
Group D: England, Croatia, Czech Republic, Scotland
Group E: Spain, Poland, Sweden, Slovakia
Group F: Germany, France, Portugal, Hungary
The 16th UEFA European Championship will run from June 11 and July 11 where 51 games will be played for fans to enjoy and soak up the atmosphere across the 11 host cities across Europe.
Each stadium will host three group-stage matches, which are set to take place between June 11 and June 23.
Group A: Rome and Baku
Group B: Saint Petersburg and Copenhagen
Group C: Amsterdam and Bucharest
Group D: London and Glasgow
Group E: Seville and Saint Petersburg
Group F: Munich and Budapest
The knockout schedule:
Each city will host one last 16 or quarter-final match before London takes centre stage for the semi-finals and final. There is no third-place play-off. The knockouts will run from June 26 to July 11.
Sony Pictures Sports Network will be LIVE telecasting the tournament on Sony TEN 2 and Sony TEN 3 (in Hindi) in India from June 11, 2021, to July 12, 2021.
