Earlier Kohli had posted a picture wearing the German national team jersey. He had captioned the picture, "Excited for #Euro16, I'm all in with Die Mannschaft for the Euros! Which team are you supporting? #FirstNeverFollows."

The maverick batsman, who dons jersey no. 18 whenever he takes the cricket field, had that same number printed on the back of the German jersey which he was wearing. Incidentally, Kroos also wears No. 18 when he plays for the national team. So he was doubly happy with the poster boy of Indian cricket. The German star tweeted, "Beautiful shirt and great number choice @imVkohli ! Awesome! Going to send you a gift  #FirstNeverFollows."

Now it remains to be seen what gift the three-time Champions League winner sends to the India maestro.
