Chelsea's season has season has gone from bad to worse, adding to Jose Mourinho's woes. The Blues are now out of the Capital One League Cup, having lost the match to Stoke City 5-4 on penalties, with Chelsea talisman Eden Hazard missing the crucial penalty. Their form in the Barclays Premier League is miserable as Mourinho's men have managed to win just one match in their previous four.

Chelsea have struggled in the UEFA Champions as well. They managed to win against Israeli club Maccabi Tel Aviv 4-0, but were held to a 0-0 draw against Dynamo Kiev and lost 2-1 to Mourinho's former team, FC Porto.

Jose Mourinho is backing his under fire winger Eden Hazard. As quoted by Chelsea's official website, Mourinho said: "He tried everything in the last game, he had a positive game, he played for two hours – I am happy with his performance against Stoke. I was happy with his performance against Dynamo Kiev. Before that he was on the bench obviously because I was not happy and I felt it was the best thing for him. I am happy with his positive reaction to that."

When questioned on Liverpool, Mourinho replied: "They were a good team, they are a good team. They had good players, they have good players. They had a very good manager, they have a new very good manager. Everything is the same. They have changed some details obviously in their tactical approach, but this is the nature of the game, especially when you are thinking and speaking about two top managers."

Mourinho also praised Liverpool's new manager Jurgen Klopp saying: "About Jurgen I just say I am not a close friend, because football doesn’t normally allow that, but he is a guy I like a lot. We have a good relationship, and as a manager his work speaks and in spite of the last season to forget, I consider him one of the top managers in Europe."

Liverpool currently sit 9th on the Premier League table. Brendon Rodgers, who was immediately sacked after the Merseyside Derby, which ended 1-1, was replaced by former Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp.

Klopp failed to impress in his first two Premier League matches as Liverpool were held to a goalless draw against Tottenham Hotspur in his first match and were also held against Southampton 1-1 as Liverpool squandered their lead in the 86th minute to concede their victory.

However, Klopp managed to win his first Liverpool match in the Capital One League Cup match against Bournemouth as Nathaniel Clyne scored the winning goal.

Both Liverpool and Chelsea will be looking forward to a much required victory in the Premier League.

Jurgen Klopp was quoted by Liverpool's official website saying: “We have to do our analysis and we feel we are prepared for the game, but we have to respect the quality of Chelsea. Let’s try everything and play well, and if it’s possible, take the points. You know how Chelsea play – usually it is with a very good defence and structure. hey have big, big, big individual quality to finish all the situations – you don’t only have to talk about Hazard, you can also talk about Costa, Willian, Oscar, Ramires and Matic. All these guys are great football players. And then their set-plays with Cahill, Terry and all of these big guys. It is difficult to play against Chelsea, but it is not impossible to win. In the end, we cannot decide this game here and now, we have to play and that is what I am really looking forward to. It will be my first time there, so it will be a good moment.”

Liverpool are pleased with Christian Benteke's injury situation. When Klopp was asked about the situation, he replied: "It's better than yesterday. "Christian trained quite normally together with one of our fitness coaches and it was good, he was okay. He's prepared for Saturday, I would say, so that's the only thing that changed."
