A patriotic David Beckham has stuck two fingers up at mafia mobsters trying to wreck his marriage and scupper England’s hopes of hosting the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
He has flown to Trinidad to back England’s 2018 World Cup bid.
But his worried wife Victoria, 36, stayed at home in Los Angeles to protect their three sons from the fall-out of sleazy claims by vice girl Irma Nici.
According to the Daily Star, Becks, 35, will meet FIFA officials, oversee coaching sessions for 200 youngsters and watch the world’s top under-17 female footballers in action as part of a football festival organized by his academy.
A close friend of the couple said: “There’s nothing sinister about Victoria staying in LA ?" she’s supporting David 100%.
“She knows how important this weekend is for David and for the whole country. It is important that nothing detracts from that. This is about England, not David Beckham,” he added.
Football insiders are convinced hooker Irma, 26, made her allegations as part of an underworld dirty tricks campaign to screw England’s chances of landing the 2018 Cup.
The Beckhams’ lawyers have launched a multi-million pound legal suit against the German-owned US magazine In Touch, which printed the sex slurs, and Irma herself.
She is in hiding and the couple’s lawyers are trying to track her down to serve her with legal papers.
