Cristiano Ronaldo did not feature for Portugal last night during their 4-1 win over Croatia due to a reported toe infection but was present at the standing, watching over his side's performance. Ronaldo, who scored last played for Portugal back in November last year, was asked to put on his mask as part of the COVID-19 health and safety measures during the UEFA Nations League match.

Portugal was in fine form as they found the back of the net four times with Joao Cancelo, Diogo Jota, Joao Felix and Andre Silva all scoring. Bruno Fernandes was instrumental on the pitch once more as he picked up an assist and led the charge in Cristiano's absence.

During the match, the camera panned to Ronaldo sitting in the standing enjoying his side's dominant display when he got asked to put on his COVID-19 mask by a member of the staff. The Juve forward was sitting around his teammates, who had their masks on, but Ronaldo clearly forgot to put on his.

However, the star footballer immediately strapped his protective mask back on after that as he continued to cheer on Portugal from the stands.
