India's men's doubles pair of Chirag Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy returned to action after more than a month's lay-off after winning the historic Thailand Open title by easing into second round of the China Open BWF World Tour Super 1000 tournament in Changzhou on Tuesday.

Satwik, whose shoulder injury kept him out of action after Thailand Open, won two matches on the day, first partnering Ashwini Ponnappa to post an upset win over sixth-seeded Indonesian duo of Praveen Jordan and Melati Daeva Oktavianti in three gruelling games. The Indian duo won 22-20 17-21 21-17 in the 50-minute match.
