Chelsea star forward Diego Costa is reportedly planning to challenge the violent charge against him over an alleged stamp on Liverpool midfielder Emre Can during their Capital One cup semifinal match at Stamford Bridge. The Spaniard was charged by the Football Association (FA) over an alleged stamp incident during the first half, which infuriated the Liverpool player. An independent regulatory commission is set to hear the disciplinary case and would make a final decision over whether Costa must serve the suspension, the BBC reported. If proven guilty, Costa would face a three-match ban, which would mean the Spaniard would miss Chelsea's top-of-the-table clash against Manchester City on Saturday.
