Chelsea FC owner Roman Abramovich has said that he will block any attempt by Manchester City to lure Guus Hiddink to Eastlands.

Abramovich has made it clear that he will not tolerate the former Blues boss joining Manchester City.

With the long-term future of Mark Hughes at Eastlands still in serious doubt, Hiddink and Jose Mourinho top the list of potential replacements. But Abramovich will stand in the way of Hiddink even if he wanted the job, the News of the World reports.

Hiddink looks certain to leave his post with Russia, but his loyalty to Abramovich is total.

His five million-pound-a-year salary is under-written by Abramovich and the pair are very close after Hiddink's successful spell at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea insiders believe Hiddink will eventually take on a technical advisory role with the Blues.
