Sevilla dominated the first half and created many good chances. However, they but failed to go past De Gea in goal.

One of the highlights of the day was an excellent one-handed save minutes before half time when De Gea tipped over Sevilla striker Muriel’s header from very close blank range.

Here's the save:

Muriel was in disbelief when his header failed to go through. After the half time whistle, the Sevilla striker went up to De Gea to congratulate him.

De Gea later revealed that Muriel told him 'the save as great'.

"He moved his body well, I could have hit it in the corner but I went for power over placement and he's a great goalkeeper," Muriel later said about the save.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho was all praise for his goalkeeper after the performance.

United set to host Sevilla at Old Trafford for the second leg of the Champions League round of 16 on Tuesday March 13.
