Group A would see cash-rich PSG take on European royalty Real Madrid while Group B would see European giants Bayern Munich face off against Tottenham Hotspurs – last season’s finalists.

Manchester City were handed a relatively straightforward task while Juventus and Atletico would do battle in Group D.

Champions Liverpool will need to see off Napoli, RB Salzburg and Genk if they intend to retain their crown while Group F will see three European heavyweights – Barcelona, Borussia Dortmund and Inter Milan go head-to-head.

Group G appeared to be the weakest of the contenders while Group H will see Chelsea, Ajaz and Valencia try to qualify.
