Brazilian race car driver Nelson Piquet Jr., who was at the centre of last year's F1 race-fixing scandal, will be racing in the Open GT championship's final round at Barcelona, News of The World reports. Piquet, 24, who was acrimoniously sacked by former manager and Renault boss Flavio Briatore, will jump behind the wheel of a Ferrari 430 GT2 and replace Alvaro Parente at the Aurora Racing team, the report adds. "I'm really happy to be taking on this new challenge and to get these invitations to race in good teams. It's another new category for me, and I'm excited to be broadening my experience in GT racing - it's something that I know I'm going to enjoy," he was quoted, as saying.
