Former England batsman Kevin Pietersen, who arrived in Australia to play in the Twenty20 Big Bash League, will soon fly back to his home for the birth of his second child.

According to the Sydney Morning Herald, Pietersen would represent his team Melbourne Stars on Friday and Sunday, before returning to home to be with his wife Jessica Taylor.

The 35-year-old maverick batsman would miss the match with Sydney Sixers at the SCG on December 27 and is likely to be back for the game against Melbourne Renegades on January 2.

At the birth of Pietersen's first child as well, he flew back to the home from the T20 World Cup in the Caribbean.
