LONDON: Aprilia's Alvaro Bautista completed a Spanish hat-trick by winning the British 125cc Grand Prix at Donington Park on Sunday.

With compatriots Jorge Lorenzo and Dani Pedrosa dominating the 250cc and MotoGP races respectively, Bautista won from pole position to extend his championship lead over Finland's Mika Kallio to 52 points.

Bautista has 185 points to Kallio's 133. The victory was his fourth of the season.

Kallio finished runner-up on a KTM, stealing second place from Aprilia's Italian Mattia Pasini at the finish after coming out of the final corner side-by-side.

British schoolboy Bradley Smith took his first world championship points in 12th place, the 15-year-old also ending the weekend as his country''s highest placed finisher in the three categories.
