Roger Martinez scored an outstanding goal while Duvan Zapata scored the other as Colombia beat Argentina 2-0.

Martinez put Colombia up with a booming strike in the 71st minute. His fellow substitute Duvan Zapata then made sure Colombia took all the points as he scored from close range 15 minutes later.

Colombia were the stronger side in the first half. However, Argentina seemed to be getting back to their best after Rodrigo de Paul replaced Angel di Maria immediately in the second half.

It was Messi who wasted the best chance of the game. There was a brawl after Messi was cut down by Juan Cuadrado in the second half.

Argentina were looking dangerous before James Rodriguez sent an impressive long pass to Martinez, who came on early in the game after Luis Muriel was forced off injured. Martinez scored with a stunning and dented Argentine hopes.
