Andy Murray got back on the winning trail after a recent dip in form with a routine 6-3 6-4 win over Frenchman Jeremy Chardy at the Shanghai Masters on Thursday.  The world number four was rarely troubled in his march to the quarter-finals, swatting aside the 59th ranked Chardy in an hour and 20 minutes. The Scot seems to have shaken off the virus that induced a sluggish performance and early exit from the China Open last week in Beijing.       Murray revealed in Shanghai that he had chosen to ride out the headaches, sore throat and lack of energy with simple remedies such as vitamin C doses rather than risk taking a quick cure that might see him fail a drug test.                                            The win means Murray has also secured his place at the ATP season-ender in London next month.
