Air India dished out a 2-1 victory over Western Railway in an MDFA Elite Division playoff clash at the Cooperage ground, Colaba on Saturday evening. The win helped them consolidate their two point lead over ONGC ahead of their league deciding match on Monday where even a draw against their opponents shall earn them the trophy.

In a high tempered clash, Air India scored two goals in two minutes through Ndubusi Opara and Allan Dias respectively midway in the first half, before Western's Rueben D'souza's strike in the 30th minute sparked hope for a revival.

The last ten minutes saw two red cards dished out to Vijeesh Vijayan and Siddharth Nayak from Railway and Air India respectively. Besides Nayak, Okoro Praise shall also watch the game from the stands due to suspension.
