The race in Suzuka will feature a 25-car grid again and team OD Racing's Patel, who shares driving duties with Malaysian Mitch Gilbert in Audi R8 LMS, is keen to return to winning ways.

In Thailand, Patel and Gilbert dropped from the top of the standings to third overall and second in the Silver cup after a gearbox failure forced them to retire from the first race, a press note here said.

Patel, who is backed by Audi India and Jubilant Motorworks said Suzuka, a high speed circuit, would be their best chance to fight back before they head to Fuji in August.
