Be it his wonder goal against Getafe in 2007, or his classy header against Manchester United in the 2009 UEFA Champions League final, Messi has always had fans on the edge of the their seats, thanks to his magical ball control and dribbling.

So here is a list of top three goals that the 'flea' has scored for Barcelona so far in his stellar career.

1) Copa Del Rey semifinal (versus Getafe, 2007)

This was the goal that propelled Messi to instant stardom, as he emulated Diego Maradona's wonder goal against England in 1986, and drew comparisions of himself with the legend.

Messi dribbled past five Getafe players with a stunning solo run from the half-line and even managed to cut past the keeper, to score one of the greatest goals that Barcelona had ever seen.

Though the final score read Barcelona 5 Getafe 2, still the game is still remembered for Messi's genius.

2) Champions League final (versus Manchester United, 2009)

Messi laid to rest doubts over his aerial prowess, as he scored a brilliant header against Manchester United at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome, to earmark himself for greater glory.

Barcelona, who were leading United by a goal to nil, finished off the issue, when Messi looped in Xavi's spectacular cross past Edwin Van Der Sar, to make it 2-0 and clinch the tie for the Catalans.

That goal proved that Messi can be equally good in the air, and proved to be just the start of more good things to come.

3) Champions League quarterfinal (versus Arsenal, 2010)

And last but not the least comes in a goal from what may go down as one of the greatest performances that Messi has ever put in a Barcelona shirt.

Arsenal were leading 1-0, thanks to Nicklas Bendtner's 18th minute opener, and looked poised to run away with the tie, when Messi decided to take matters into his own hands.

The Argentine went on to score four goals past a befuddled Arsenal defence in the space of 20 minutes, which effectively shut the Gunners out of the tie.

The best goal was of course the fourth, when Messi put in a beautiful lob over onrushing keeper Manuel Almunia, to complete a night of misery for the Gunners, and cap off a memorable night for the Catalans.
