WWE Payback 2020 all set to take place on Sunday, August 30 at Amway Center, Orlando.
The WWE Payback 2020 happening just days after WWE SummerSlam is not ideal in the sense of fatigue in the WWE Universe.
However, WWE Payback 2020 seems to be just a pay-per-view to watch, which could result in a wide variety of surprises.
With the WWE Payback 2020 all set to take place on Sunday, August 30 (Monday morning, August 31 at 4:30 AM IST), these are some events that could take place when the clashes begin at Amway Center, Orlando.
1. Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman

Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman - both men want payback and retribution.
The Big Dog was supposed to take on Goldberg for the Universal Championship at WrestleMania, but it never happened. As for, Paul Heyman, he held a position of importance backstage, however, he was let go.
Now at WWE Payback 2020, Roman Reigns could win the title and Paul Heyman could invite the rest of Retribution to the ring.
They could also be unmasked as members of Retribution, with Paul Heyman at the helm of a brand new movement
2. Rey Mysterio teams up with Dominik, Samoa Joe could leave commentary and step into the ring

Rey Mysterio and Dominik vs Seth Rollins and Murphy - the last time these two teams clashed, a great match was ruined by Retribution.
However, at WWE Payback 2020, when they babyfaces are about to pick up a victory, Samoa Joe could leave the commentary desk and step into the ring to align with the Monday Night Messiah.
Samoa Joe has been little more than an announcer over the last few months and this would stunt mark his return.
3. Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax turn on each other

With Sasha Banks and Bayley being teased on SmackDown, it looks like they will not be splitting up anytime soon. However, same could not be said about Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax that could split up at WWE Payback 2020.
The feud between the two women was before they decided to come together and put aside their differences to go after Tag Team gold at WWE Payback 2020.
Now when they take on the ring, Sasha Banks and Bayley will be the more well-oiled unit, while it will be fun to watch Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax.
4. Alexa Bliss shows up as Abby the Witch

Alexa Bliss is undergoing some kind of transformation when one thinks about the episode of SmackDown right before WWE Payback 2020. She had broken a cup that Nikki Cross held in her grasp.
Now, with the post she put up on her Instagram account, she is hinting at some kind of major change.
Alexa Bliss showing up as Abby The Witch could be a great way to have The Fiend retain his Championship while making Roman Reigns look strong.
Braun Strowman could also get distracted at WWE Payback 2020, seeing his former love interest, allowing for The Fiend to pick up a big victory.
5. Ric Flair returns at WWE Payback 2020

Ric Flair and Randy Orton were known to be the best of friends, however, their relationship was splintered when the 'Legend Killer' decided to turn against his mentor.
So now at WWE Payback 2020, Ric Flair could return to take revenge against Randy Orton by helping Keith Lee win.
