'Spread light and joy': Hardik Pandya, Sanju Samson, Yuvraj Singh and others wish fans Happy Diwali

The festival - which is celebrated to mark the victory of good over evil - has seen everyone coming together to wish all on this auspicious occasion.

Taking to social media, cricketers VVS Laxman, Sanju Samson, Yuvraj Singh, Steve Smith, Michael Clarke, Tom Moody wished the people of India a Happy Diwali.

Football clubs, FC Barcelona, Arsenal and others too wished their fans on the festival of lights.

Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya is wishing everyone a happy Diwali but is also making sure pets and animals are not harmed. Taking to Twitter he wrote, "Keep your furry friends close this Diwali".

He even shared a pic of what he had worn for the Mumbai Indian's Diwali celebration.

The player recently had successful back surgery and had missed the West Indies and South Africa series.

India’s VVS Laxman, Sanju Samson, Yuvraj Singh led the way to wish all a happy and light-filled Diwali.

Sanju Samson shared a picture with his wife Charulatha Samson and wrote, "Wishing all of you a very happy Diwali from us".

Former Indian batsman VVS Laxman too took to Twitter to wish. "May the auspicious festival of lights, beautifully illuminate every aspect of your life and may you be blessed with love, happiness and Joy," is what VVS wrote.

Yuvraj Singh shared a video and captioned it, "This Diwali, it’s time to make a difference. Spread light and joy into everyone’s lives. Here is your chance to do a good deed. #CelebrateForACause and stand a chance to win an exclusive prize. Visit @YWCOfficial_ for more".

Football clubs too wished the Indian fans around the globe a very Happy Diwali. FC Barcelona wrote, "Happy #Diwali to all our fans celebrating around the world!"

As for the LaLiga standing, Barca are back on the top spot.

Premier League club Arsenal too wished everyone on Twitter. "To all our fans celebrating today…" they wrote.

The English team are on the fifth spot with Liverpool leading the chart.

Tom Moody - former head coach of Sunrisers Hyderabad - posted the same picture as Laxman on Instagram. The two were part of Sunrisers’ coaching staff.

Former captain Michael Clarke, who led the team to World Cup glory in 2015 also wish fans on Twitter.

Steve Smith posted a picture on his Instagram account, to greet his followers on the festival of lights.
