Shubman Gill has engraved his name in history by becoming the highest scorer by an Indian Test captain.

After his historic 269-run knock against England in the 2nd Test, his father couldn't hold his excitement and praised his son. 

Shubman Gill's family includes his parents, Lakhwinder Singh and Keart Gill and an elder sister, Shahneel Gill. 

His father, Lakhwinder Singh, who is a former farmer, has played a crucial role in his son's cricketing journey, even giving up farming to support Shubman's training.

“Shubman beta, well played. I really enjoyed watching your batting. It gave me a lot of peace of mind. When you were younger, under 16 or 19, you used to bat like that. And I felt very proud," Lakhwinder Gill said.
