Barca came from behind to lead 2-1 and should have maintained it but found Jan Oblak in inspired form, allowing Alvaro Morata and Angel Correa to snatch the win.
While the win will see Diego Simeone’s side fight Real Madrid in Sunday’s final, the main focus of the match was a heated head-to-head between Lionel Messi and Joao Felix.
The Barca star and Atletico Madrid youngster squared up to each other and had to be pulled apart.
The incident took place when the two teams were walking off the pitch for half-time. Felix appeared to complain about something to Messi before things got heated. The pair exchanged verbals and then went head to head.
Gerard Pique was the first to reach the scene as he tried to diffuse the situation before other players rushed in.
Earlier on in the match, Felix had even lost his temper with Jordi Alba and was seen slapping his hand away.
Seeing the acceleration got netizens talking as they want the two players to fight it out in World War III.
