Rain affected play at the start of the match, and as a result the match was reduced to 10 overs per team.

Wriddhiman Saha and Manan Vohra opened the batting for KXIP and did not disappoint as the duo posted a good opening partnership of 34 runs in just 2 overs. 

Wriddhiman Saha provided a stellar performance with the bat, as he helped KXIP post a match winning total with his 12-ball 31.

Saha was shortly dismissed by RCB's David Wiese after he was caught by Mandeep Singh in the deep.

Glen Maxwell tried to bolster the KXIP batting attack, but fell short after he was caught by RCB's AB De Villiers at the boundary rope.

RCB celebrated wickets at regular intervals, but couldn't reach the target of 107 set by KXIP with their batting as they bowed out at 84/6 at the end of 10 overs.
