Saikhom Mirabai Chanu - all know the name by now. The woman created history as she won the silver medal in the 49kg weightlifting category at the Tokyo Olympics 2020 in Japan.
Soon after the event, Mirabai Chanu was seen receiving praises and love from all over India as she got India's name on the medal tally.
Now back home, the sports star landed in Delhi from Tokyo and met some important people before flying home to Imphal.
1. Mirabai Chanu leaves for India
Mirabai Chanu along with her coach left from Tokyo to India. The weightlifter landed in Delhi and received a warm welcome at the airport.

2. Mirabai Chanu meets sports minister
Sports Minister Anurag Thakur was the first dignitary to meet Mirabai Chanu after she arrived in Delhi. She went straight to the Sports Minister's residence to meet Anurag Thakur from Delhi airport.

3. Mirabai Chanu having a meal with ministers
Sports Minister Anurag Thakur hailed weightlifter Mirabai Chanu saying "First day, first medal, nobody did it. You brought smiles in the faces of 135 crore Indians and the entire nation is proud of you," according to PTI.
Thakur was praising her during a felicitation ceremony of the diminutive weightlifter and her coach Vijay Sharma at his residence.

4. Mirabai Chanu eating pizza with Kiren Rijiju
Mirabai Chanu, after expressing her love for pizza, was fed the same by former sports minister Kiren Rijiju.
The late-night felicitation function was attended by Minister of Sports (Sports) Nisith Pramanik and Sarbananda Sonowal, Minister of Tourism, Culture, and Development of North-Eastern Region G Kishan Reddy among others.

5. Pizza for Mirabai Chanu
During her interview post-victory, the medalist had said that she wished to eat pizza and that statement did not go unnoticed by Domino's Pizza.
They soon pledged to provide free pizza to Chanu for life and now her return home, Chanu posted a picture eating pizza sent to her.
