Is the 'Drake curse' really true?

Drake is gifted with many things. He is good at rapping, random acts of kindness, bringing back cancelled TV shows and many more. However, for many football fans, he's also becoming a bit of a pain.

The rapper has spent the past month travelling the UK and Europe on his Assassination Vacation tour and many footballers have been among the thousands who've flocked to see him perform.

Seeing the effect, bosses at Italian soccer club AS Roma even banned players from posing for snaps with rapper Drake.

The 'Drake Curse' has become a bit of a social media phenomenon. Not just football, the effect was earlier seen when Drake's beloved NBA team the Toronto Raptors, made him global ambassador in 2013.

Since then, the Raptors develop a bit of a reputation for choking in big games.

Here are 5 football players who clicked pictures with Drake thus the curse got its way into the team. Is this 'God's plan'?

On April 5, Jadon Sancho posted a picture on his Instagram with Drake, captioned 'The goat! @champagnepapi'.

The very next day, his team Borussia Dortmund lost to FC Bayern Munich 5-0.

On April 6, Aubameyang took a picture with Drake and Arsenal posted it on their official Twitter handle.

The very next day Arsenal lost to Everton by a goal.

On April 8, Aguero took a picture with Drake and posted a photo and video on Instagram.

The day after, Man City lost to Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League quarterfinals first leg clash.

To add to the disaster, Aguero even missed a vital penalty.

On April 9, Lukaku took a picture with Drake and posted on his Instagram with the caption, "Ovo x Roc Boy Dope experience with a Humble dude".

The very next day Man United lost to Barcelona in Champions League first leg.

On April 13, Kurzawa took a picture with Drake and posted on his Instagram handle.

Lille OSC destroyed PSG 5-1.

It's been 19 years since Paris last suffered 5 goals during a league game.
