Delhi boy Shikhar Dhawan, known as ‘Gabbar’ to his fellow players, is one of the most explosive batsmen in the game currently. The former limited overs skipper is a man of many firsts in cricket. He has a habit of being the leading run scorer in major ICC tournaments, a lightning-fast run getter who in his full glory is a sheer delight for fans. Off the field, Dhawan has some serious brand value and has endorsed household names like MRF, Dream 11, PMG, Big Bazaar, Canara Bank, Cornerstone, R K Global, Jolly Roger and Rodeo Drive.

Not known for a huge garage, Dhawan does have a preference when it comes to luxury cars from the world’s best automakers. He recently brought home the most powerful coupe available in India, the luxurious BMW M8 Coupe, which costs 2.18 crores. Shikhar’s other preferred vehicle is a a Mercedes GL 350 CDI luxury SUV that costs nearly a crore.

Dhawan reportedly owns several real-estate properties which suggests that he is not just spending his hard-earned fortune but investing for the future as well. He owned a four-bedroom luxury mansion in Australia complete with a pool and en-suite spa. The house was reported bought for $730,000 in 2015 and Dhawan and his wife disposed the property for $935,000 in 2019. Bhawan currently resides in a luxury designer house in Delhi which is reportedly valued at upwards of Rs 5 crore.

Travelling is one of the hobbies of the veteran Indian cricketer and Dhawan loves holidaying in exotic locations both in India and overseas. Dhawan has been spotted holidaying in Australia and Maldives as well as having fun in Disneyland along with his kids. In India, Dhawan likes exotic locales like Udaipur and Varanasi. Dhawan also recently travelled to Mata Vaishno Devi.

Not a man of massive collections, Shikhar Dhawan does have a taste of his own. He reportedly owns only a handful watches but his favourite is Admiral’s Cup AC-One 45 Titanium and Gold. He also owns Corum and Tag Heuer watches. Not just watches, Dhawan has also been spotted wearing luxury traditional footwear worth Rs 72 lakh! Dhawan also likes activities like playing the flute and has been seen horse-riding.

Not just on expensive toys, Shikhar Dhawan is a successful man who knows the art of giving. During the COVID-19 crisis in the country, Dhawan donated Rs 20 lakh for procuring oxygen cylinders and concentrators. He also funded a Haemonetics Apheresis Machine for a new Plasma Bank in Delhi. Dhawan also loves animals and has pledged charity to a non-profit called ‘People for Animals’.
