Aesnsio delivered a lovely freekick towards the back post and Russia defender Ignashevish sort of manhandle-tackle Ramos to the ground. Unfortunately, the ball bounced off the back of his heel and into the net from close range as an own.
A few minutes before half-time, Fernandes sent a cross which was deflected by Koke behind for a corner. While Samedov produced a decent delivery, Dzyuba head for a goal, blocked by Spanish defender Pique with his arm. Although he was just a yard away, he pleaded that he was innocent and the ball just came on him.
As a result, Russia earned a penalty and their go to man Artem Dzyuba equalised 1-1 for the hosts.
