Her second comeback in 2011 may not have been as dramatic as her first in 2008, but she is not finished yet. Maria Sharapova will regain her No 1 status and remain a top player for a few more years. Expect her to storm back into reckoning even after her unexpected defeat in the final hurdle at the just-concluded Wimbledon.

The Russia born US resident has her personal planets in Aries, Sagittarius and Pisces. Aries is responsible for her phenomenal power and aggression, Sagittarius makes her mentally tough and competitive and Pisces blesses her with fluidity and athleticism. She has Sun — the planet of glory, Venus  —the planet of beauty and ‘Planet-Z’ — a powerful exoplanet, all three in exaltation.

This phenomenon makes her one of the most paid, most searched, most endorsed and most successful sportspersons in the world. The period 2011 to 2013 would be the best phase of Sharapova’s career. She would be injury free and hit an extended stretch of purple patch. Expect her to almost double her career titles during this time.

She may also add about two to three Grand Slam titles to her kitty.

Fortunately for Maria, this favourable dasa peaks during June-September 2012, which coincides with the Olympics. As a result, the current world No 5 is literally assured of a medal in the London Olympics, may be silver or better.

Sharapova would give it all up unexpectedly, albeit on a high, around 2013-14 to settle down into domesticity. Post retirement, she would dabble in reality shows and entertainment events. The goodwill ambassador for UNDP would remain a high profile celebrity, model, socialite and philanthropist much after she has retired.
