I am really thrilled that the 2014 FIFA World Cup is finally here. I truly believe it's the biggest and most anticipated football tournament in the world. I am really excited as the tournament is just a week away. My friends and I have already started discussing our favourite teams, players and strategies. I have a great affinity towards football because it's a game of pace and action.

My favourite team is Spain, and I'm really looking forward to them winning this time just as they did in 2010. I support Spain because I feel they host players from two of the best teams in the world — Real Madrid and Barcelona. I'm a big fan of Andrés Iniesta and consider him as one of the best players of this generation.

I feel Spain have a great chance of winning with his experience and natural style of game. Also, knowing that he plays for one of my favourite teams, Barcelona, is just the cherry on the icing.

Another player I admire is Argentina's Lionel Messi. He is a really great player, but it's sad to see him play against Iniesta in the national squad although they share such great gameplay while playing for Barcelona.

I am going to follow my team all the way this time. I can definitely see this year being a highlight in World Cup history with so many footballing greats playing their last World Cup, and also with new talent coming in. With the carnival feel and party atmosphere in Brazil, if there's anything that I am sure of, it's that this year's World Cup is going to be super-duper hot and exciting!
