Asian Games 2018, Day 3 Updates: India bag 5 medals on Tuesday, win 21-0 in women's hockey

That's it from the Asian Games today. 

It was good day for India at 2018 Asian Games on Tuesday. India won 5 medals (one gold, one silver and 3 bronze medals) on day three of competitions. 

Indian women scored another big win in hockey beating Kazakhstan 21-0. 

It was a good day for India in Wushu, as four medals were assured.

Divya Kakran took just 90 seconds to score 10 points and clinched the medal through technical superiority against Chen Wenling. This is India's 10th medal at the Asian Games.

India in Tennis on Day 3

Top seeds India’s Rohan Bopanna and Divij Sharan beat Wishaya Trongcharoenchaikul and Nuttanon Kadchapanan 6-3, 6-1 to reach the quarters in men’s doubles.

In mixed doubles, the pair of Bopanna and Ankita Raina entered Round of 16. However, Divij Sharan and Karman Kaur Thandi lost in their Round of 16 match to crash out of contention.

Dipa Karmakar and Co are in action right now. However, Dipa has finished behind Pranati Nayak and Aruna Budda Reddy in the vault apparatus and won’t qualify for the final.

A fine performance by their shooting duo as they hit the target 43 out of 50 times.

Chinese Taipei were leading the final for the better part, but ended with a score of 42.

Jyotika Dutta loses her first bout after winning five in a row. A quarter-final defeat to her Thai opponent means she narrowly misses out on a medal.

Indian men's Sepak Takraw regu team has created history by winning a bronze. This is the first medal for the country in this sport at the Asian Games.
