First let us be clear, John Cena v/s Undertaker could still happen at Wrestlemania 34 despite what the leader of Cenation said on monday night RAW this week.
Cena, who had vowed to enter Wrestlemania 34 by any means necessary after losing at WWE Elimination Chamber, first teased a match with Undertaker but then said that the it would not happen.
For months it has been speculated that the 16-time world champion would face The Undertaker at the ‘Show of Shows’ on April 8 in New Orleans. Cena's comments on Monday could be classic case of misdirection by WWE.
However, a Sports Illustrated report suggests that Rey Mysterio is in line to become Cena's WrestleMania 34 opponent.
According to a report from Justin Barrasso, Mysterio was working on the potential showdown with Cena while backstage at SmackDown Live.
He tweeted: “Breaking: per WWE sources, Rey Mysterio is backstage working out details tonight at Smackdown for a match at WrestleMania. The rumoured opponent is John Cena.”

Mysterio had returned to is 43 years old and hasn't made a WWE appearance since 2015. However, he did made headlines recently after making a surprise entrance in the 2018 Royal Rumble in January.
The last time they fought in a singles match was in 2011 on Raw, when Cena defeated Mysterio for the WWE championship.
Meanwhile, John Cena showed up on Smackdown Live and defeated WWE champion AJ Styles to book his place in the Six Pack challenge match for the WWE title at the upcoming Fastlane pay-per-view.
